Life Youth Summer Service

Join us as we serve our community with Tacoma Rescue Mission and Coffee Oasis. Tacoma Rescue Mission has served those experiencing homelessness in Tacoma since 1912. Coffee Oasis has been serving youth who are at risk or experiencing homelessness in the Bremerton and Tacoma area since 1997. Our first three days we will serve with Tacoma Rescue Mission preparing food, serving the community, and helping with grounds upkeep. Our final day will be spent at the Coffee Oasis Tacoma branch doing some much needed grounds upkeep and landscaping. During this time our team will learn about these important ministries and the work that they do.

Each day students must wear closed toed shoes, long pants, and comfortable shoes to work in. We ask that they eat breakfast each day before arriving. We ask that students be sent with a sack lunch each day. Sign up by clicking the button below to create an account with Tacoma Rescue Mission and sign up to serve lunch at the Downtown Campus on July 14th (this step is not necessary if your student is only serving on the 16th). Next, complete the form below below and make sure to fill our a waiver to deliver it to Pastor Nick in person or digitally.

Monday, July 13th
10:30 am – Students meet at Harbor Life Church building (HLC)
10:45am – Depart HLC
11:00 am – Arrive at Tacoma Rescue Mission (TRM) Downtown Campus
2:00 pm – Depart TRM
2:30 pm – Student pickup at HLC
 
Tuesday, July 14th
10:30 am – Students meet at HLC
10:45 am – Depart HLC
11:00 am – Arrive at TRM downtown campus and serve with TRM
2:00 am – Depart TRM
2:30 pm – Student pickup at HLC

Wednesday, July 15th
10:30 am – Students meet at HLC
10:45 am – Depart HLC
11:00 am – Arrive at TRM downtown campus and serve with TRM
2:00 am – Depart TRM
2:30 pm – Student pickup at HLC

Thursday, July 16th
9:00 am – Students meet at HLC
9:15 am – Depart for Coffee Oasis
9:45 am – Landscaping and building clean up
4:00 pm – Depart Coffee Oasis
4:30 pm – Student pickup at HLC
