Word is starting to get out regarding the newest member of our family. If you have not heard the good news – we will be having a precious baby girl! Officially the power shift has tipped in favor of the ladies in our home. Now the fun begins in trying to figure everything out. Like, how do we make things work bedroom wise. And what do we do now that we have outgrown our Suburban? So, you thought that you had it easy…huh!
Now this is the part where I invite your nice suggestions. Do you have any? For example, one person suggested a stretch Suburban. Are you thinking the same thing that I am thinking? Nice. What a great idea!
I am prepared to have fun with this one. No really, I am! Let them come. Just remember that they are just suggestions. Therefore you cannot get mad if we do not use them. Room suggestions? Vehicle suggestions? Name suggestions? Other suggestions?
I just read this…..I knew when I saw Amy couple weeks ago in my spirit she was pregnant but than doubted it because no one said anything. never. Ralph says you have lots of kids to help you push your chevy!
How bout a small motorhome coach, than you’ll have fun family get a ways and seats for all. Maybe a Stretch limo….that would be cozy and classy! Hey…I need a job I could be your driving assistant. Whatcha think? Huge Congrats!!!!! From R & L
Hey….some car ideas for you. I came across someone that is selling the bus from Partridge Family on E-bay. If you’d like I can work on getting a paint committee together if you feel the price is right for the bus.
Also same person told me a local school has a short but that holds 12. You’d have room for luggage on those fun road trips. We can even trick it out by making it a low rider and put some killer rims on it.
OK…How bout checking with local wrecking yards for either 2 small bucket seats for the very back that just bolt in or if you have a console in front replace that with a bench seat giving you the room that you need without the expense of a new or new used car?
PS: Sorry for last blogs type-o.
Well I have an idea on your vehicle issue.
Since my truck went on the blink, and you have
out grown your burban, you can just give me your burban.
deal?
I am totally a fan of the 15 passenger vans, still has the big V8 like the Suburban but can carry all of the little troops, with room for expansion.
Of course you could always just get a big truck with a shell on the back fill the bed with pillows and throw all the kids in the back unrestrained, but I am not sure if that is entirely legal.
It seems to me that an airport shuttle bus would be the best choice. They just have so much room and storage options. I am not sure if they have seat belts or not. That would propably be a good question to ask at the shuttle bus dealership. I do know that they have alot of storage space for those Costco runs, and should you ever need to go to the airport you will be set. Ebay or Craigslist may be a good site if you are considering a used shuttle bus option. I am certain my logic has convinced you.
If not please speak with Nick about surplus Forest Service vehicles. They probably sell large vehicle like buses and dump trucks and such. Keep in mind that in addition to their large size they have that interesting green paint job that makes them easy to identify.
I also think Scott is a great name for a girl, but I don’t think you asked for name suggestions. Consider it a bonus gift!
I like the idea of a motor coach. Roomy and cozy, but probably not great on gas. As far as a 15 passenger van…not sure I am ready to go there yet, though a van of some kind will probably be a reality.
Not sure that Scott is quite the name we are looking for. Thanks for the suggestion, but I think we’ll keep looking. And Juanita, not sure you can handle the burb!
These have been some great suggestions.
